Venice advice needed for early evening meal before night tour and is anything open very late?

On the day we arrive in Venice from Paris, we land at the airport at 4:30pm. I think we will probably opt for a private water taxi for time saving purposes to get to our hotel (near St. Mark's) so hopefully we'll check in by 6-6:30pm. We'll have about an hour before we meet a private tour guide for a night tour (7:30-10:30/11pm). He is meeting us at/near our hotel. Ideas on where we can get a quick bite to eat very close to our hotel before the tour, since most restaurants start dinner later? We're looking for something casual, maybe we should look for a good bar and have numerous chiccheti? Also, if we're hungry after our tour, is anything still open or should we bring/buy some snacks for the hotel room?

Thanks!

Just ask your hotel for a recommendation when you check in. Without knowing your hotel address how can anyone recommend something close especially at that hour.

Any sit-down restaurant ready to serve dinner at 7 pm caters to foreign tourists, I vote for a cicchetti bar or a pizza-by-the-slice place.
