Hi all- it’s been 10 yrs since we’ve been to Venice but one of the most memorable things we did was to attend a Vivaldi concert at a relatively small church. I got the name or link from somewhere on Rick Steves forum- anyone know the name so I can give to a friend traveling there?
Many thanks!
This was where we went for concert two years ago.
The San Vidal Church does Vivaldi concerts, and it’s located very close to the Accademia Bridge. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the one the RS tours recommend because I’ve seen two different RS tour groups stay at the Hotel Ala which is less than 5 minutes from the church. I attended a concert there and was pleased with their professionalism.

We went to a concert at San Vidal last June. We bought the tickets that day.
We really enjoyed it.
Thanks for all the replies! I appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Chiesa della Pieta on Riva degli Schiavoni is a relatively small church where Vivaldi performed and worked. We went to a wonderful concert there. We bought tickets when we were in Venice, but you can also buy them online.
