As you probably know, this year too, on specific dates, visitors to Venice have to register on the official portal: https://cda.ve.it/en/
Just a heads-up: the portal recently went live.
Even if you're exempt from paying the access fee (like if you've booked accommodation) you still need to register and obtain a QR code.
From my experience using the portal so far, here are a couple of things to note for exemptions:
- If you have multiple consecutive accommodations, you’ll need to apply separately for each, resulting in multiple QR codes.
- You can bypass the tedious birthday selector popup by simply typing your date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format. For example, March 23, 2009, can be entered as 23/03/2009. It works perfectly, and the system still validates the date.
Hope this helps!
