Venice 2025 Access Registration online portal is now live

As you probably know, this year too, on specific dates, visitors to Venice have to register on the official portal: https://cda.ve.it/en/

Just a heads-up: the portal recently went live.

Even if you're exempt from paying the access fee (like if you've booked accommodation) you still need to register and obtain a QR code.

From my experience using the portal so far, here are a couple of things to note for exemptions:

  • If you have multiple consecutive accommodations, you’ll need to apply separately for each, resulting in multiple QR codes.
  • You can bypass the tedious birthday selector popup by simply typing your date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format. For example, March 23, 2009, can be entered as 23/03/2009. It works perfectly, and the system still validates the date.

Hope this helps!

If I'm reading correctly there is no charge for august 2025? It is just specific days during summer time ? On the other hand, my accommodation in Venice (booked this weekend) already said to me that they would be charging us 4 euros per person for each overnight spent in the city. I know there is leisure/tourism taxes in Italy, I'm guessing it is not the same as this accreditation.

I need of some lights here! Thank you all!

Yes, the €4 is the tourist tax, which is separate from the access fee. If you're already paying the tourist tax for your overnight stays, then you're exempt from the access fee. However, for August, you don’t need to register on the portal, as your dates fall outside the specified access fee period.
