Venic to Padua

My husband and I are staying at Hotel al Piave in the Costello district on Ruga Guiffa. We have reservations for the Scrovengi Chapel at 13:15 and want to know the best route to take to get to Padua. We have a 72 hour Vaperetto pass and the Padova card.

Walk to Rialto.
Vaporetto to Santa Lucia Station (Ferrovia).
Regular train departures for Padova.
Walk to Scrovegni Chapel from the station in Padova.
Simple. Stunning. Enjoy.

Get the train schedule at http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en
Look at getting a Regionale Veloce train to Padua. They are just as fast as the Freccia trains, 26 minutes to Padua, and only cost 4:15 EUR each way. They go at 12 and 42 past the hour, on weekdays anyway.
Using the Trenitalia site, use Italian station names, Venezia S. Lucia, and Padova. Be sure to validate your tickets in the stamping machine before boarding.
If you have a Padova Card, you can ride the tram from the train station to the Scrovegni Chapel. Saves a bit of walking. Afterward, take the tram to the town center and check out the Piazza della Erbe and area for a few hours before heading back to Venice.
