Are there still authentic mask shops in Venice? The one we went to 9 years ago is now in a museum and the masks have tripled in price. The shop itself was so peaceful and interesting. Heading to Venice Friday.
This is the one where I've shopped several times over the years for papier mache masks: http://www.camacana.com/. In the meantime, they've added more locations and paint-your-own mask options, which I also enjoyed, but not cheaper than just buying one.
Thank you Laura!
One 'showroom ' looks quite close to our hotel. I e-mailed them for their hours as we are only there for a couple of days, including Sunday.
