The reply re this hotel, mentioning boat to airport, how long a ride, is there a shuttle from boat to airport or is it just a short walk, and what is the cost for this boat?Do you need to purchase ticket in advance? Thanks for feedback

We took the boat last month from Venice to the airport. We paid on board. For a schedule and price list use the follwing link: http://www.alilaguna.it/. It's a short walk from the dock to the terminal at the airport. There is a shuttle from the docks to the terminal, not sure how much it costs.

Its about a 10 min walk from the airport to the Boat. Rick's Italy guide was most helpful and gave exact instructions on how to find it. The boat trip is a wonderful intro the city - you stop at Murano and go past some of the other Islands and drops you at San Marco (busy and packed). I think the boat cost 15Euro. Make sure you get the vaporetto, not the water taxi which is very expensive (but fast - I got well sprayed by a passing one!)
