Hi, I am going to Venice in June and trying to find best economical transfer from Airport to hotel. We are staying at Hampton by Hilton Isola Nuova near ship terminal as we will be going on a cruise. Does anyone have best suggestions on how to get to hotel? We will be arriving at 9pm in the evening. Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer some guidance.

that hotel is on Tronchetto next to the car parks, and the only vaporetto serving the Tronchetto stops is the Number 2, the branch of it that circles the main islands and uses the Giudecca canal - not the branch of the Number 2 which uses the Grand Canal.
You might get a land bus to Piazzale Roma and walk? I'd check the webpages of your hotel and maybe call them?

The best way is a land taxi. The most economical way is to take the bus to P. Roma and walk from there. Or take the bus to P. Roma, and a taxi from there. We've been to Venice a number of times and know the area well. If we were arriving late, tired, perhaps sleepy, and jet lagged, taking a taxi all the way from the airport to the hotel would be our choice.
