Hi all, I was online attempting to book a ticket for the Vatican and found that they are open friday evenings. This would actually work out well for us. My question is: is the tour that the Museum provides good or should I try to book an outside guide.

Well, good is very subjective but I've found the tours given by the Vatican to be very good and informative. They give you enough information to keep you interested without weighing you down with all the smallest details. If you prefer a tour that really gets into the smallest detail then you should book with another company. Donna

You can always rent an audio guide also, and self-guide your visit.
