Am looking for any advice on booking a Vatican tour - interested in the Breakfast tour = or any other - that might give access when it is not so very crowded.
We took the Pristine Sistine with Walks of Italy - in an hour before opening and straight to the chapel, then back to the rest of the museum. Just google it and you can find it. It was really well done, we enjoyed it!
I did the early Pristine Sistine Tour with Walks of Italy and enjoyed it. We meet early at 7:30 near the vatican museum to start the tour. So plan on early day, we were up at 6:30 to grab some food and transportion to the vatican. As our tour started there was maybe about 10 other small tour groups who entered the same time we did. Our guide took us straight to the sistine chapel. (Now along the way he pointed out some items and told us to take pictures now and he'll explain them later when we walk by. This way there was a small amount of people in the halls and we could get a good picture without people in the way.) We stayed in the chapel for a while and there was plenty of room and open space. It was nice being in there with no many people. After some time in there we started back touring the museums which at this point were now open to the regular public. I was glad our guide told us to take a picture of stuff earlier. There was people several rows deep in some area's and no real good pictures without getting people in the way. I love pictures and going early was awesome for me. It was very crowded by time we left the museum to go into St. Peters.
Another vote for the Pristine Tour with Walks of Italy. My wife and I took the tour in May and agree with all of the above. The early start does make for a long day.
Me three! I actually enjoyed being up early and navigating the Metro and a few blocks walking to the meeting point, as the sun was coming up and no one else was around.
That tour sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
thank you all for your replies - I was considering the early morning breakfast tour - but think we may do this one instead. thank you
I think I would book the official tour with the breakfast. You get in a half hour earlier and get to visit the Sistine chapel before the crowds do. It also costs only 35 euros compared to the 84 euros you'll pay for the other tour. You can rent an audio guide if you choose for an additional 7 euros or take the guided to for 58 euros. All this and breakfast too. I'd choose it and save the money.

I would love more information on the Breakfast tour. Where can I find it? I looked on the official Vatican site but didn't see it.
I saw one on another website but it was a lot more expensive than 34euros. I'd love a link to the 34 euro one.
It's on the official website:
http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?weblang=en&do
scroll to the bottom of the page. click on it and it will give you more information and the booking options.
I plan on doing this in September when I'm there. It sounds wonderful.

The Breakfast tour is at 8:45am. Is that early enough to really see the Vatican without the crowds? The breakfast is in a courtyard.
