Hi, we are heading off to Rome for 2 weeks with our 3 children (14,13 & 8). We were going to do a Vatican tour with Through Eternity but their Vatican Tour is over 5 hours long which is probably too long for our 8 y.o. Can anyone recommend a tour group (smallish) that would keep children entertained as well as adults?

We took a tour through the Vatican with Angel Tours precisely because there was no way to do 5 hours with our kids (10 and 12 at the time). The tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours which was just fine for us. And done in a very entertaining way. Only disappointment was that our tour did end up being rather large that day with 18 people, but that seems to be a rare exception for them. Most travellers here on the website will tell you their groups are quite a bit smaller. Afterwards we strolled through St Peters and went up the Dome which offered yet another more child friendly activity.
