Vatican tour @ night or day?

Want to book the Vatican tour but debating if we should see if at night or in the day, has anyone done the night tour? Which is better for first timers to Rome? Would love to do both but due to lack of time we will probably only have time to book one.

Ditto previous poster's reply. During the day, the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel are pretty much full of people (think sardines packed in). Evenings not the masses of humanity, so you see more and enjoy more.

I would do the night tour - much less crowded.

We did the Friday night thing just a couple weeks ago. It was much much less crowded. I highly recommend evenings.

Friday nights are not as crowded but not all of the rooms are open. check the website to make sure the rooms you wish to visit will be open on Friday nights before making your reservation. Donna
