Vatican tour in Rome

We will be in Rome Nov. 18-20 and want to get tickets for a Vatican tour in advance and would appreciate your suggestions as to best tours, times, buying tickets, and getting there from our hotel. We are staying at Hotel Sonya. Thanks!

I booked mine through viators.com - they are a consolidator and offer tours from several companies.
We had a guide who was studying art in Rome. He was from Oregon and so of course spoke perfect American English.
He was very knowledgeable about all the art in the museum, the Sistine and in St. Peters.
I forget how much we paid, but our tour group met him across the street from the entrance, he was holding a sign from his company and greeted us all warmly.
We walked across the street and as a tour group walked right into the museum, and off we went.
There are also several tours recommended in the Rick Steves book

When we were there, it was possible to get into the Vatican Museum on Friday nights from 7 pm to 11 pm. We much preferred this to visiting during the day; there were fewer people and the temperature was cooler. Check the Vatican website to see if it's available in November.

I believe the Friday night Vatican openings are only through October. I would recommend booking through the official Vatican website for tickets or tours; I've seen a lot of complaints about Viator on various forums.

We visited Rome in April and used The Roman Guy for two tours - one of which was the Vatican. Loved every second and our tour guide, Nina, was excellent. We paid a little extra for early admission to Sistine Chapel which was worth every Euro. Very well-run company and would use again.
