I tried searching and couldn’t find anything that seemed to answer my question. I am trying to finish getting our Rome leg planned out. The Vatican website for the morning we want doesn’t have any tickets, but I was able to find a tour that had an early morning time on one of the days that would work for us. My question is if we want to see the gardens too is that something that will require a timed ticket? I’m not able to find a ticket that is just for gardens, but one that is for Sistine chapel and gardens tour. Do just garden tickets exist? Thanks!

Go to museivaticani.va for info re visits to the gardens. My understanding is that when you buy a ticket for the gardens, you automatically get into the Vatican Museum as well, which seems like a good deal. There seems to be lots of availability for late July (which is when i plan to be there) but i decided not to purchase the tickets yet because I am wary that something like monkeypox might prevent the trip….so i will wait a little while more before reserving/purchasing tickets. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I think we will wait to try to get tickets to the gardens til we get there too. I can’t even think I about monkeypox right now, this is our trip makeup from 2 years ago and thinking about covid is enough for now :) Hope you have a great trip!
