Vatican Tour

When last in Italy (2004) we found Blue Folder Tours which from what we saw was good. Had to leave it early to take Scavi tour. My searches to date have not turned up this tour? Anyone know if they are still in business? Or, can recommend a tour to take instead? We leave next week. 9-20

Inquire with ThroughEternity.com. They offer a 5 hour tour, which includes admittance to the Sistine Chapel before it opens to the public.

We quite enjoyed our approximately 3.5-hour tour through Walks of Italy (www.walksofitaly.com). Our guide was an American art historian with 15 years experience and we, too, enjoyed the early, essentially lineless entrance to the Sistine Chapel. Meeting up with the guide (the tour was limited to 12 persons but only 8 were in our group) at 7:30 am, we toured the Chapel, parts of the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica till about 11 and then we were free to grab a bit of a lunch in the neighborhood and return for the Scavi tour at 1:30.

We used Presto Tours in Sept '09 for a 3-hour tour. It was a great tour and the guide was very knowledgeable. I would definitely suggest them.
