I am trying to purchase tickets on the Vatican website for July 8th. The date is shaded out and not allowing me to select any date past the 7th of July. Is there a minimum number of days out you can purchase or could the tickets simply be sold out?

Try it tomorrow or Monday and you may be successful.

They usually release tickets 60 days out, sometimes more, sometimes less. Just wait a few days and they should open up.
