Trying to book tickets for the Vatican museum for Oct. 9th. It shows unavailable. Can you not book ahead of time, or could it already be totally booked?

Reservations are only possible to make 60 days in advance. Try again in a week or so I'm sure you won't have a problem.

There are NO tickets to the Sistine Chapel. You buy tickets to the museums which include the Sistine Chapel. You can only buy them 60 days out so keep checking the website. The tickets DO show up on the website so I'm not sure what "timetable" the above poster is talking about.

I just booked my Vat Museum tour tickets 60 days out. I put a reminder on my calendar, as we could only visit on a Saturday. I was able to book the Scavi tour a few months ago.

Hello Melva, we are going to Vatican on the same day. I just looked at tickets for that day and saw that the are only selling tickets up to October 7th. A few more days and you should be good to go. Have fun.
