Hi we are going to Italy next week and have a few days in Rome before and after our cruise. I havn't reserved tickets to the vatican or St. Peters. I just found out about this trip a few days ago since it was a surprise. I feel so overwhelmed since there is so many things I want to see. I was going to buy tickets online to avoid lines, but my husband suggested a tour since there is so much to see. I can't find one in English since this has to be booked way in advance. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also the day I am planning on going is Saturday, what is a good time to go?
Contact a private tour company for the Vatican and St. Peters. We used http://www.walksofitaly.com/ last October and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on their "Pristine Sistine" tour. Worth every penny!
You might just want to book entry tickets and do an audio guide. A semi private tour is very expensive so if you're on a budget this might be the way to go. You can do that at: http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?weblang=en&do Donna
Thanks, I ordered the tickets for the vatican already. We also downloaded all of the tours to our ipods.
