Is anyone else having problems with the Vatican website and purchasing tickets online? I keep getting an error stating transaction not processed - I've already called my card company and they said its not a problem on their end. Is there a way around this? I'm really wanting to purchase ahead of time to avoid lines!

What is your specific credit card that you are using? There are many reports of credit card issues when trying to buy advance tickets or train tickets. You may want to try using a different card. here is another thread on this very issue...

This issue has been coming up a lot lately.
Call your credit card company and ask for the fraud department. Have the fraud rep. activate the "verified by visa" protocol for your card. This should take care of the problems.
You may want to delete your "cookies" before trying to purchase tickets again.
