We will be in Rome in October, and already have Scavi tickets in hand. We know we will need to check the small backpack we carry before the tour. Once the Scavi tour ends, we want to see the rest of St Peters, including the dome.
So the question is: once the Scavi tour is over, can I get my backpack back without having to go thru security again?
