I am trying to figure out how to reserve a time at the Vatican with the Roma pass, or do I not have to reserve with this pass?

The Roma Pass isn't valid at the Vatican, which is a separate city, and country for that matter. You can reserve a time slot at the Vatican's official website and pay the full ticket price with your credit card.
