I purchased tickets for 12 noon on May 27th on line. I know that I have to show my voucher inside the doors and then go to the ticket office to pick up the tickets- Does this mean I go right into the museum or do I have to go back out into the line?

Once you have your tickets you can go right into the museums. No need to go back into the lines.

Walk up tot he entrance of the museum, to either the left or the right of the main line you will see a couple of museum guards that will scan your voucher and send you in. There was a small sign that said something like Tour Groups and Reservations, I don't remember the exact text anymore. You go through security then they send you to the ticket window to exchange your voucher for your tickets and you are in.
