My son collects stamps and would like to purchase stamps from Vatican City if possible. In searching for a VC post office, I found one, but it seems to be in the Vatican Museums. Wondering
If there is one near there - outside the museums? I know there is a small trailer on the square itself that serves as a post office, but I thought perhaps there was a bigger one with more selection of stamps. As always, really appreciate any help with this.
According to this website:
"The central Vatican post office is located inside the gates of S. Anna and is reserved for Vatican employees.
However there is an official Vatican post office open to everyone located under the colonnade to the right-hand side of St Peter's Square, open Monday to Saturday from 08.30 until 18.30."

Thank you! Hoping we won’t have to go through security lines to visit it, but doesn’t seem like we will have to.
No, you don't have to go through the security line to get to the post office (trailer) in Piazza San Pietro.
