Vatican Night Visit?

We will be visiting Rome on one of the Fridays that a Night Opening is offered for the Vatican. It looks like the price is the same (am I right?), and I wonder if this is a good way to maximize our short time in Rome, by seeing something "after hours" when other things are closed. What I don't know is if this is a good idea, if this option offers seeing either less or more than going in the afternoon, etc. Has anyone done both before? Is there a difference?

From the website:
Every Friday from April 24th to July 31st and from September 4th to October 30th, the Museums will be open to visitors from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm (last entrance at 9:30 pm).
Visitors will be able to admire important collections, following an itinerary that includes the Pio-Clementine Museum, the Egyptian Museum, the Upper Galleries (Candelabra, Tapestries and Maps), the Raphael's Rooms, the Borgia Apartment, the Collection of Modern Religious Art, the Sistine Chapel.

I think it's a good way to maximize your time, but note that some galleries will be closed (not listed in the description). You can take a "virtual tour" at the Vatican website to see what is on the list and what you may miss.

It's a great way to extend your day. You will need to visit the basilica before coming to the museums. The basilica closes at 7pm so be there by 5pm at the latest.

As Zoe says, not all of the galleries are open, just the ones listed for the night visit. These are the most popular galleries and include the Sistine Chapel.
