Vatican night tour?

Should we do the Vatican night tour with a guide or on our own?
Just wondering from people past experience

Thank you,

Yoli

Hi Yoli,

I know nothing about Vatican at night, but would love to see what other people may tell :)P.S.
I only did Colosseum at night tour once, was extremely stressful to book. Should be booked way in advance. I guess the same attitude here

Toured the Vatican Museum on a Friday Night a few years ago. At that time, Fridays were the only day offering evening access.

We certainly weren't the only people there, but it wasn't what I'd call 'crowded' either; very manageable to get around the various rooms as well as the grounds, and to enjoy the Sistine Chapel without feeling rushed or claustrophobic.

Brush-up with a good guidebook beforehand, to help identify what you want to see and their location, and you'll be fine to see on your own and at your desired pace.
