My time in Rome this summer will include a a half-day Thursday, all day each of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which means I have several options for when I can visit the Vatican Museums, including Friday in the evening.
What are the pros and cons for both the late hours and the early morning, pre-public entry tours (Pristine Sistine, and the like)?
One note: I am a hobby photographer, so sometimes I linger when an object catches my eye, and there are some things within the museums that I missed or bypassed on my previous visit there. So that's something else to figure into any ideas you might have on this matter.
Thank you.
