Are any of the myriad combinations of Vatican museums tickets especially recommended? Also, is the guided tour option worth it? I wanted to book standard admissions tickets for 5 weeks from now, but was surprised to find they had sold out already. Last I looked recently, they weren't even available yet. Are there any ideas about other options that aren't ridiculously expensive? We have 2 teenagers with us that likely wouldn't even enjoy a detailed guided tour.

We took a guided tour of the Vatican in June and used “Walks of Italy” (the complete Vatican tour with Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s Basilica) I think it was about 4 hours long but very informative. We paid about $125 pp but it varies by date & time of year. We took about 6 Walks of Italy tours during our trip and I would highly recommend them.
