Vatican Museums

If we enter the Vatican Museums and chose to go all the way to the Sistine Chapel and do that first (since it closes early and we're going to go late in the day) can we then go back and see the rest of the museums or is there a "one-way" flow?

Well I think it's "kinda" of a one way flow but I've never seen this question before so it'll be interesting to see what other posts say. Certainly you can backtrack within a gallery but the Sistine, not so sure there. At any rate if the Sistine is your major goal go for it. Humm...

It is a one way flow but you can go back to the front of the museums and re-enter. You could not simply turn around and back track, the crowds are too heavy for that. Read Ron in Rome's wonderful advice on exactly how to do this. Donna
