Vatican museum tours with Vatican certified guide

Hello,
Did anyone have an experience with Vatican museum English language tours conducted by Vatican's guide ( sold on vatican official web site) ? The cost is 30 Euros inlcuding entrance fees. Is it worthwhile? How long is it?
Thanks

Dimitry

I booked a guided tour through the Vatican and thought it was worth it. I would not have been able to get around with the tour so I am glad I did it. It lasted two hours before our guide took us to the Sistine Chapel.

I don't remember how long it was, but I surely remember how long the line was for people who did not have a tour booked. Walked right in, paid and tour started on time. The only problem I had was that for the most part, I do not enjoy tours b/c they are not at your own pace. I also get bored in museums quite fast. I was more excited about seeing the Sistine Chapel at the end. The tour guide was great though. If you can book it through the Vatican, there is absolutley no reason not to do so.

Yes I took the official private tour and thought it was very elementary/basic and not worth the cost! I believe it was an hour and we had to wait 30 min for the guide to arrive. We were 2 persons and paid way too much at 25 euros pp. a few yrs back.
I would have much rather purchased a guidebk and read along.

Thanks everyone for the response. It was very easy to book the guided tour on Vatican web site.
