Vatican Museum Tour

What is the best tour of Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel? Looking for three hour guided tour. Is there a Skip the line tour to the Basilica as well?

We paid for "Skip the Line Vatican Tickets with Escorted Entrance" (Get Your Guide/ EcoArt ) which was the only way we could get tickets to fit our schedule. It was ok value as it got us in with ease and minimum of delay.

We then followed Rick's free Audio Europe guide for "Vatican museum" and "Sistine Chapel". We took our time and spent 4 hours inside. We took our own (full size) binoculars which was worth it in the SC.

We visited the Basilica yesterday and got in line about 9:30am and it took about 30 mins to get through security (which we thought was ok). We spent about 2.5 hours inside.

We did the Prime Experience tour, booked via the Vatican Museum website, this past week. It was a two hour guided tour of the museum and Sistine Chapel and then we got breakfast. After breakfast, we went back inside the museum and went to areas the tour didn't cover. Our guide was fantastic and we got to be inside at 7:30 am before the museum opens to the general public.

Afterward we went on our own to the Basilica - stood in line for 24 minutes (we timed it) which included going through security to get inside. I didn't see a way to skip the line, but I also wasn't looking that hard.
