We're in Rome for two more days. I decided to save going to Vatican museum for Monday since heavy rain is expected (Sunday is closed). I've tried 3 different credit cards and even had my daughter try to buy from home. Now all tickets gone
Any suggestions? If we stand in line early will we get in?

I have yet to buy tickets in advance for the Vatican. I seem to have good luck arriving around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I just walked right in. Of course that does not mean the place was any less crowded.
Plan on spending a bit of time in line if you get there early, or go later in the day. You might find a tour, even at this late date, to get you through sooner.
Late afternoons tend to have little to no lines but inside will still be crowded. I wouldn't get there early as you'll certainly wait at least an hour to get inside. Plan to be there around 1-2pm. Spend the morning visiting other things in the area.

Ps to my previous post. Don't believe the tour hucksters on the way to the Vatican . They always say a two to three hour line, yet when I get to the Vatican there is no line.
There will be people hassling you outside to try and sell you tickets. Beware don't buy from them.
From their direct site, their all sold out. Try other sites like Viator for example.
