I'm kicking myself- I got Vatican museum tickets well in advance of our planned visit 12/23/25. I was just going through everything and realized that I used our informal names (Jamie instead of James, Annie instead of Annabelle, for instance) on the tickets. Will they deny entry because they don't match our passport names? When I got our Colosseum tickets more recently, it explicitly stated that. Thanks for any insights.

Not sure what is asked for when you purchase the tickets but I think as long as last name, birthdate, passport number are correct you shouldn’t have a problem

You'll be fine. My wife uses a casual version of her name and I use a shortened version. We've never been asked about any discrepancy at an attraction.

I was in the museums just a few weeks ago. Nobody asked for any type of ID, just the ticket on my phone.
