Greetings,
We're making plans for our October trip to Rome and will spend most of one day exploring Vatican City.
We'd like to schedule St. Peter's Basilica/Dome Climb and tombs early in the day and a separate guided tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. The combined tour is 5+ hours so we'd prefer to take a break between. Everything I read indicates earlier is better. Both tours will be "skip the line" versions to help minimize some of the delays from crowds. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you. JC
I agree breaking it would be better. We did combination tour with The TourGuy in June and made for a long 5 hours (Dome climb first thing in morning). If I had it to do over again I would do Basilica and Dome climb first then evening tour in the Vatican Museums to avoid mid morning and afternoon crowds. Nowhere to eat in between the two parts.
