Nope. I let them take advantage of me and Pay for a museum so crowded I couldn’t even see the artwork. I’ll never give them another penny

When you make the crowd at the Mona Lisa look well behaved and small you’ve overcrowded your museum. And I’m sure as soon as there’s a vaccine they’ll go back to packing people in

Couldn’t agree more Carol but until they see the light and put an end of “check off the box” visitors- say raise admission to $1000 per day so those of us really interested in the art can truly take it in and appreciate it we will be stuck with the crowds.... I would love to see a dedicated express route to the Sistine Chapel. 95% of visitors would take it and be done. Leaving peace and tranquility in the rest of the Vatican museum.

Same with the Louvre- put the Mina Lisa and Venus in a special direct access room and the crowds in the rest of the Museum would vanish.

Don’t want to be a snob about it but 90% of the visitors to each come for named big pieces only because a tour book pointed it out as the thing to see and take a selfie with.

I think this is a very unfair comment. There are plenty of people that like and will appreciate the art, but wouldn't be able to afford this, myself included. I went to Paris on a work trip and spent 5 hours at the Louvre. Didn't spend more time because I wanted to see other things in Paris. For many of us, going to Europe and seeing these things is something special and that we do appreciate, but hardly accesible. And there are also plenty of people who could afford a 1000.00 price tag and would pay it but could care less about the museums and just want the selfie (where they are permitted, I know they aren't at the Vatican and it's museums).
