I just bought Vatican Museum tickets online, and the website offered tickets at various times beginning at 8:00AM and each half hour thereafter (e.g., 8:30AM, 9:00AM, etc.). I selected the 8AM time slot. Tour books say opening time is 8:30AM, but the official website says opening time is 9AM. So, I'm confused. With my pre-paid ticket for 8AM, will I be able to enter at 8AM? And does that mean that I will be able to enter before those who do not have pre-paid tickets?
I didn't buy a tour - just an admission ticket.
So, will I be able to enter the museum at 8AM as indicated on my ticket voucher? Is this earlier than the regular museum opening time?
So, will I be able to enter the museum at 8AM - before the regular ticket holders who must wait until 9AM?
That sounds right. I reserved for 9 am, and when I got upstairs there were lots and lots of people already there.
If your ticket says 8am they will let you in at 8am. They don't start letting the non-ticket holders in until 9 or so. Make sure you take your confirmation letter with you to show at the door. They will let you in at the appropriate time.
