Is it worth getting the audio guide for the walking tour of the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel or just wander around and check it all out without any commentary? Thank you for your opinions.

I got the audio guide on my second visit. A lot of it was interesting, but overall it was more of a hassle than it was worth.
First, waiting in line to rent it.
Second, juggling it around along with my camera and my day pack and a guide book
Third, and worst, having to walk all the way back to the main entrance to return it and get my photo ID back.
