We like to rent the audio guide for our visit in late September. Since we are booking the garden bus tour there isn't an option to book the audio guide for the museum at the same time.
How long is the line for audio guide without reservations? I am a bit concerned that they might even run out of units on the day. Is that possible??!? The bus tour is on at 8:45 am for 45 minutes. So we would start our Museum visit at 9:30 am if it runs on schedule.

I wouldn’t worry about the audio guide line. I was there July 23rd (which was a Monday and... very high season, lol) for a timed entry at 1:00 pm. We didn’t have to wait and they seemed to have plenty of audio guides to go around at the booth dedicated to them. I really enjoyed having the audio guide though. Good choice!
We found the free Rick Steves audio guide to be quite good. I'm honestly not sure how it compares to the "official" one but it's free and then you won't have to even worry about it.
