You could try tours by Roberto. Check out their web site. They have a calendar posted, which shows the tours they have scheduled for each city each day. Send them an email. They are very helpful, and can recommend other companies if they are not available. I just had an excellent experience with 2 tours last week.

I just returned yesterday from Italy and got our tickets directly from the Vatican for a guided tour or the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. I sent a fax to the Vatican - the info on how to do this is in Rick's Italy book but you can go to the Vatican website also. When I arrived in Rome, there was a fax reply waiting for me at my hotel (make sure you include your hotel's fax # in Rome). We skipped all the lines and the tour was great! We got rid of our audiophones provided by the tour before we entered the Sistine Chapel (they had someone collect them) thus enabling us to exit via the rear door on the right for groups and go directly into St. Peters! It worked out just great. You can only fax within 15 days of your tour - the only problem is that you may not know if you got into the tour til you arrive in Rome. My backup plan was to go with Angel Tours (good reviews on Trip Advisor). Without this fax, it looked like the line was at least 3 blocks long in the heat!!

Thank you for your reply. I will try that as well. For whatever reason I haven't been successful with my hotel. I thought I would see if they could book it for me but I've had no reply.
