Vatican Gift Shop

Does anyone know if there is a gift shop at the Vatican and if it is open on Sundays? Thanks!

There are a number of giftshops at the Vatican. The one in the Museum is not open on Sunday (the museum is closed then). Don't know about the one in the main piazza in front of St. Peter's but I would imagine it is open on Sundays.

There are numerous gift shops surrounding the Vatican entrance, and you must walk by them to get into the Vatican, but only ONE inside, and it is closed on Sunday. I don't know what specific item you want to buy, but I can't imagine you won't find it at one of the shops at the entrance.

By the way.... the last time we went to the roof of St. Peter's there was a small gift shop there as well. (May 2007)

I would agree with the statement that there are several gift shops within and run as a function of the vatican...usually by a specific religious order.

There is of course the Museum Gift Shop you will pass as you exit the exhibits, that has religious items as well as items related to the exhibits.

There is one to the right of the entrance to St Peters, as Mike Mentioned, there is one on the roof of St Peters if you take the tour of the Dome, and I suppose you could include the Vatican Post Office as a gift shop as well. There are likely another one or two tucked here and there as well.

As someone also mentioned, there are numerous shops on the streets leading to the Vatican, but all I mentioned are within the confines of the Vatican.
