Our Vatican Gardens tour on 3/5 has been cancelled. Will we still be able to tour the Vatican Museums (which was included on the ticket)? Can we switch to a Vatican Museums guided tour? Very disappointed that we won't get to see the Vatican Gardens and Sistine Chapel. Any replacement itinerary ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I just read this morning that the Vatican museums are indeed continuing to operate. You will still see the amazing and completely restored Raphael Rooms. You can also take in some of the lesser-known sites: Palazzo Colonna (Saturday only), Villa Farneses (Wed at 5:00pm), Villa Medici (Noon daily except Monday). There are other amazing churches with great art: San Luigi dei Francesi, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Gesu, San Pietro in Vincoli. We also love Palazzo Braschi Museo di Roma near Piazza Navona. Hike (or take a bus) up the Gianicolo (Janiculum) for an unparalleled view of Rome.
