Has anyone taken the Vatican Garden tour? Vatican Tours offers and I am wondering about taking it. I think we will have plenty of time but still would not want to waste any.
If you take the elevator to the top of the dome in St. Peter's and then climb the steps to the very top you get a beautiful view of the layout of the gardens and a great view overlooking the Vatican and the city of Rome. Also as you walk down the hallways on the Sistine Chapel tour you can glimpse the gardens from the windows. We were in Rome the end of Sept. We did the Necroplis tour, St. Peter's, went up to the dome, and the Sistine Chapel. It was interesting exploring St. Peter's from the very foundation up to the very top. We did not do the garden tour because of lack of time to do so, but I felt like I saw some of it by looking down over it, and from those hallway windows.
Thanks for the input. Sounds like time can be better spent.
