I have tried to fax a request to get my group in on a tour of the Vatican using the Vatican guides that Rick recommeded in his Rome 2007 book on page 179 but I keep getting a message that the number is no longer in use--does anyone know a correct fax number to try to make the arrangements.
I used that number 3 weeks ago, got fax tones, the fax went through. 'Course, haven't heard any reply since....
I doubt that we will be successful either--we were turned down for an early admission with the tour guide that we are using on our city tours. They are trying again for the next day but I don't hold much hope for that either. I will try that number again today for the fax maybe it will go through this time. Thanks for your reply. Any other suggestions on not having to wait in line for 3 or 4 hours??
The fax number for the vatican must have changed since Rick Steve's Italy 2007 was published. The book has 06-6988-4019 and the Vatican website has 06-6988-5100. I sent my fax on April 24th for a reservation on May 24, 2007 and have not received a reply. I have read on some of the travel chats that there is a number you can call when you get to Rome to see if you have a registration: 06-6988-46-76.
