Vatican Entrance

If i buy a ticket in advance to get in the Vatican it makes me pick a time. Earlier it says they are good for the day of use. Do i have to enter at the time on the ticket? Thanks! Nanc`

The timed entry tickets for the Vatican are just that, for a specific time. If you get there a bit earlier or a bit later, the guards will likely let you in. If you show up too far off your time, its up to the guard if they will let you in or make you get in the long line and then trade your voucher for your tickets. If you have pre-puchased your tickets, you will get in that day, you just may not be able to skip the line.

If you are more than 10-15 minutes late the guards have the right to make you wait in the regular line with everyone else. The voucher will still be good but you lose the right of bypassing the line. If you are not sure what time you can make it I would suggest not buying in advance and just going in the afternoon when the lines are usually shorter. Donna
