Hi
Have booked the Pristine Sistine Tour of the Vatican so we will be at the Catican in the morning until 1PM - allowing for lunch. How far would it be to get to the Borghese Gallery from the vatican. Wondering if can do both in same day ?Thanks

You can do them both in the same day but for me it would be museum overload. I would plan the Borghese for another day, perhaps in the afternoon after a morning outside.

I agree with Donna. It would be too much and you would probably appreciate the Borghese less because of it.

You could do it but it would be a very full day as others have mentioned. Since you have a time limit at the Borghese gallery you cannot hang out there all day or even all afternoon. So you could catch the gallery in the late afternoon. Taxis are relatively cheap in Rome so I would just catch a taxi from the Vatican - maybe ten minutes is traffic is good.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago, had a tour of the Vatican from 7:30-1pm but it ran until 2, jumped into a taxi outside St. Peter's, got to the Borghese at 2:30 for a 3pm entry time and had a sandwich at their cafe before I toured the gallery. Not for the faint of heart, but I was with a friend who had limited time in Rome.
