My husband & I wanted to visit the Vatican on June 24 or 25. As I look at the website those dates appear unavailable, have I waited to late to get my dates?

Nope, it's just the opposite. You haven't waited long enough. Those dates haven't gone on sale yet. Just check at the beginning of next week. Donna

Thank you so much for responding. We are also planning on visiting the Borghese Gallery then onto Florence. In Florence, we hope to see 'David' as well as other places. Am I being to impatient or are there some places I really need to reserve this far in advance? Venice is also on our list. Thank you!

You should be able to reserve the Galleria Borghese ticket and the Accademia ticket any time now.

My husband and I took a Walks of Italy tour of the Vatican last May and it was WELL worth the price. It was outstanding! They get you in and take care of everything. We walked up to the Borghese Gallery and bought our ticket there and there was no problem. The Borghese was one of our very favorite museums. We took a Walks of Italy tour to the Academia to see "David" and again felt it was well worth our money.....they walk you right to the front of the line and you go immediately in with no wait. You will have a great time!

Jane, there are lots of ways to avoid the lines. You don't need to pay for an expensive tour to do it. You can book a tour online of the Vatican museums or even buy entry tickets online that allow you to bypass the lines. For the Borghese gallery all it takes is visiting their website to reserve a time slot. It's really not a big deal and something anyone can do themselves without paying a tour company to make these reservations for you. Donna
