We thought we would see the Vatican on our last day in Rome. ( Our flight leaves at 8:00pm ). At the Vatican, would they let check our carry-on luggage? On a side note, What is the best wat to get to the FCO airport from the Vatican?

They require that you check larger bags but I'm sure you can check smaller carry-ons. As for how to get to the airport, you can catch a cab just outside of St. Peters or you can walk to the San Pietro train station and take the train to the airport. If you go to the Roma San Pietro station it takes almost an hour to get to the airport. If you take a cab it's at least 45 minutes. The other option is taking the metro to the termini and then taking the leonardo express. The express train takes about half an hour and getting there will take at least 15 minutes by the time you walk to the metro station and catch the train. All in all, they will all take about the same time but the cab will be the most expensive, followed by the express train and then the regional train to the airport. Donna
