We would like to visit the Uffizi and walk along the Vasari passage but it seems the Uffizi website only sells tickets for museum admission 2 hours before the passage time slot you reserve, and the website says it takes 45 min to walk to the beginning of the passage walk.
Two hours minus time getting to the passage is not long enough for us in the museum.
I can’t figure out another way to visit both and get more time inside the Uffizi. We would like 3 -4 hours in the museum.
Anyone know how to buy tickets that would allow for this. We did not see a way to buy only Vasari tickets.

Unfortunately, I've never seen an option for the Uffizi + Vasari corridor that provides (what I consider) adequate time for the museums: that 2-hour-from-entry rule seems to be, well, the rule.
Honestly, although I've not done the corridor, I wouldn't trade a walk through with a rushed visit to the museums. You are aware that the passage is essentially devoid of artwork?
Worth mention: make SURE that you're using the correct website when ordering tickets. There's a look-alike that tends to be the first to pop up on a google and you do NOT want to use it. Avoid anything labeled "Feel the City"

I have visited it several years ago. The beginning of the Corridoio is inside the museum, not 45 minutes far! Probably 45 minutes is the minimum time suggested to shortly visit the gallery. To reach the beginning you must go to the second floor, so I suppose that if you don't enter into the rooms to watch the paints in no more than 10 minutes you are arrived.

About entering before 2 hours from the Corridoio entrance time I have no idea how it works now, so I cannot help you. Sorry.

Thanks for the warning Kate about using the correct website! Good to know.
I wonder if we can get the museum only tickets, then get the 20 euro Vasari supplement (which says vaguely that you need to enter the museum at an appropriate time to make it work with the Vasari walk through.) Any ideas if these two will work together, i.e. maybe 8:30 museum only tickets and 12:30 Vasari Corridor supplement tickets?

I did this in May. I went through the official Uffizi gallery website to buy the tickets but the tickets are actually sold through Coop Culture. So before replying to this, I went on coopculture.it and sure enough you can get the Uffizi/Vassari corridor tickets through this site for 47 euro. It actually says on the website that they recommend you show up at least 2 hours to see the Uffizi before your Vassari entrance time. I think a lot of us misread it as 2 hours because I sure did! So you can definitely enter the Uffizi before that 2 hour mark. When we got to the Uffizi to enter, I have to say it was a bit chaotic. We just went up to a worker and said we had Vassari corridor tickets at 2:30 (it was around 1230) and he just let in to stand in a line to enter. Once inside, you are funneled to the second floor. I followed the RS guidebook and and then asked a worker there how to find the Vassari corridor entrance. She told me to go to a staircase leading to the first floor next to this room (sorry I can't remember the room number). Once on the first floor, it was easy to find the entrance where you line up. Make sure you make time to also explore the first floor before entering the corridor.
For years, since my first visit to Florence and heard about the Medicis walking above the Ponte Vecchio to get to the Uffizi, I had always imagined what that must've been like! When I found out the corridor was open when I planned to visit Florence, I jumped at the chance and I'm glad I did. And yes it is utterly devoid of artwork although there were some busts lining a wall but for me it was the experience. And the Uffizi has become one of my favorite museums because of the building itself. Being able to look outside at beautiful Firenze while you're looking at top notch art work is just such a great experience.

So you entered the Uffizi 2 hours before your scheduled time for the corridor, correct?

So not impossible but there is a risk that the chosen time slot will be full. This might also be helpful:

You know, never say never but the 2-hour thing is a topic ALL over the net with the majority advising that the time limit is mandatory.
