In researching for our end of August trip to Florence I came across the Vasari Corridor. This is the kind of unusual sights we like to visit. Anyway, I read that it is scheduled to re-open on May 27 of this year and we are hoping we will be able to tour the corridor.
Has anyone else read any similar news? Has anyone ever visited in the past? Anyone else interested in walking the corridor?
Hopefully the info I read is correct. I signed up for the Uffuzi’s newsletter hoping for an announcement since May 27 isn’t too far off.

No news on Italian press either. I suppose this is because the former Uffizi superintendent will be running for Florence mayor in three months so the matter could easily become a political one.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll just keep watching for news. If it doesn’t open there is enough to see and do to keep us busy for 4 days.
