Vasari Corridor

Heading to Florence and Venice for a 10 trip in the beginning of November. Would level any tips on what is necessary to book in advance this time of year, knowing peak season (Uffizi, Doges Palace) are recommended early. Also wanted recommendations specifically for the Vasari Corridor, and the best time and way to make reservations. Awesome! Thanks guys. If anyone has been to Venice early November, where typically does the Aqua Alta specifically affect, if it does...

Thanks

The Uffizi website link (below) mentions that the Vasari Corridor is unfortunately closed for security compliance upgrading : http://www.uffizi.it/index.php?en/202/il-corridoio-vasariano

You can book your ticket to the Uffizi in advance on line at the above link. I wouldn't bother doing so too far in advance as it probably won't be very busy in November.

As for acqua alta, Piazza San Marco and its surrounding area is usually affected, but often other areas as well. Many stores will sell waterproof boots at a very reasonable cost.

By the way, you can get often great deals on discounted train tickets on the Trenitalia website if you book 3 or 4 months in advance.
Have a wonderful trip!

We have been to Venice-Venezia in 6 different months. November and December are by far our favorites. It will be chilly, but you can dress for that. The crowds will be down, which will benefit you. No need to pre-book anything, IMO. You might get some morning fog, which is quite pretty although it can keep the vaporetti from running in the Laguna. It often clears by afternoon, though. Try to get to Murano, Burano, Mazzorba, & Torcello on a sunny day. Fabulous!

Oh, and enjoy AA if it happens. You can go into the Correr Museum and look out over San Marco and the people splashing around in their AA boots. Or join them!
