We will be traveling from Lake Como to the Cinque Terre but do not want to rent a car. It seems like getting there will take up a good chunk of the day, so I'm looking for the most seamless way to accomplish it. What I've got so far...
It looks like we'll need to get back to Milan and then get on another train that transfers in Genoa, then arrives in Monterosso, and from there, go to Vernazza by either train, ferry, or car -- not sure which.
The thing that concerns me a bit with train travel (other than making our connections) is luggage. My wife and I will each have a medium to large bag, and since it all seems to be one class of train car, I'm wondering if there will be room for what we're bringing. Wheeling the the luggage around won't be a problem, it's just the train space I'm thinking about.
Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
