Varenna Late October

Headed to Paris Late October. Is Varenna worth visiting in late October? Would it still be easy to get around? Thinking the very last week of October. but only for a couple of days then work way back to Paris.

I think Varenna is definitely worth visiting in late October, especially if you enjoy peaceful scenery and fewer crowds. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, with some rain and cooler temperatures, but the autumn views around Lake Como are beautiful. Getting around should still be fairly easy by train and ferry, although ferry schedules may be reduced. A couple of days would be enough to explore Varenna and maybe Bellagio. I’d definitely recommend it if you don’t mind the quieter off-season atmosphere!

Ferry schedules shift to autumn (but not winter) early in October so ferries will be reduced but hopefully so will the crowds. The current ferry schedule will apply in the coming weeks until early November if you want to check what's currently operating.

I assume you're not counting on swimming in October.

Are you planning on 2 weeks from now or next year? Either way the current ferry schedule should be a good guide.

I was just in Bellagio from the 4th to the 9th and it was very easy to get around but I bought all my ferry tickets before 9am because there was always lines after that to buy tickets.
